Local entrepreneur publishes book to impact change for young, underserved women Start Where You Are Set to Release on Tuesday, July 26, at Geekdom Event Centre SAN ANTONIO (July 22, 2016) - On Tuesday, July 26, in the Geekdom Event Centre (131 Soledad St., 78205), Myra Evans-Manyweather will officially release her new book Start Where You Are: My Journey from Childhood Poverty to Passionate Entrepreneur. In an effort to impact change in young, female entrepreneurs, makers, and innovators, Evans-Manyweather will share how her personal story has
influenced her to start a local change of a purpose-driven society.
As an empowered tech district continues to foster growth and opportunity, starting at Geekdom and
permeating throughout the urban core and the city, the launch comes at an important time, particularly
in reaching and influencing young women to pursue their dreams in tech and entrepreneurship.
All funds raised during the event will benefit the InnoWomen Fund to help underserved young women -to start, grow, and build. "My passion and desire is storytelling for change for young women through innovation," said Evans-Manyweather. "I want to lend my voice and my story to help young women make positive changes toward reaching their dreams that will impact their life, their community and beyond." San Antonio is the perfect place to do that with the rapid, encouraging growth of the business, education, and tech scenes is the perfect place to do that.
Local artist Steven Curd will provide entertainment with musical interludes during the celebration. Hors
d'oeuvres and beverages will also be served at the event.
